Today, Facebook is the top source to get updates about birthdays of your favorite friends. Facebook does give you notification when there are birthdays of your friends. But you may want to see those birthdays in Google calendar too! Hopefully Facebook does offer everyone to export birthdays and import it anywhere like Apple iCal, Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar including auto synchronization. It’s very helpful as Google calendar is used by popular Android OS and you see birthdays directly on you android phone! You can export other Facebook events too.
Exporting Facebook Birthdays to Google Calendar
Step 1: Go to facebook.com home page on you Desktop. Click on “Events” from top-left side.
Step 2: After you sent to Events page, click on “Gear icon” on the top-right corner of the page. From the drop-down menu, click “Export“.
Step 3: After you Click “Export“, you will get a pop-up windows like the following.
Step 4: Now “right-lick” on the link “export your friends’ birthdays” and copy the link address!
Step 5: Now go to http://Google.com/calendar/ on desktop. There, on the left side, you should see “Other Calendar“. Notice a drop-down arrow next to the label, click it! From the drop-down menu, choose “Add by URL“.
Step 6: In the URL field, paste the URL you copied from Facebook. Then hit “Add Calendar“!
Now you should see You newly added calendar under “Other Calendars“. You can also change its color, configure it by clicking on “Calendar Settings“.
